Smart Home Gateway

A Smart Security system is different from a regular CCTV or security camera system because it use Smart Home devices which must be enabled and connected to a Smart Home gateway/controller. A Smart Home controller is the central hub or “brain” of your Smart Security system. It is the gateway which sends and receives all the information from your other devices about the status of your home. Z-Wave technology is a Smart Home, open standard protocol which offers thousands of Smart Home brands and a variety of Smart Home controllers. Some Z-Wave brands we recommend include Vera and Fibaro. Once you have chosen the right Smart Home gateway, for example the Fibaro Home Center 3, you can install and connect your Smart Security devices to this gateway. Once you’ve added these devices to your gateway you can control and monitor these devices through your computer, phone or even voice.

Smart Lighting Automation

Smart Lighting Automation is an excellent and easy way to automate the lights in your home. Before, automating lights meant changing replacing every single light bulb with a smart globe, luckily this has become significantly easier and affordable using todays lighting modules. Generally speaking, there are three main ways that lights can be influenced and they are switching them on and off, dimming their luminosity and changing their colours. Once you have wired the modules into your switch box you can connect them to your Home controller and use your phone, computer or voice to change and monitor their status.

Some popular ways to automation climate control devices includes Smart Home Thermostats or Smart Home A/C Controllers. Additionally, some more complex solutions include setting rain sensors which when activated can close roller shutters or windows to stop rain from getting inside your home.
